Terms of Service

Welcome to Orin. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Orin and govern your use of the Orin app (the “App”). Please read them carefully.

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Orin.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the App. The App is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

What the App does

Orin aggregates financial news and market data, and lets you save stories, build a watchlist, join groups, and discuss the markets. Headlines and summaries link out to the original publisher; we do not republish full articles.

Not financial advice

All content in the App is for general information only. It is not investment, financial, tax, or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security or asset.

Market data and news may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for your own decisions. Do your own research and consider speaking with a licensed professional before making any investment.

Your account

• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password secure and do not share your account.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

Your content

You keep ownership of the comments, posts, and other content you create. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host, store, and display that content so we can operate the App. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it.

Community rules and acceptable use

To keep the App safe and useful, you agree not to:

• Post illegal, harassing, hateful, or threatening content.
• Spam, impersonate others, or post misleading content as if it were fact.
• Engage in market manipulation, including pump-and-dump schemes.
• Scrape, copy, or access the App through automated means without permission.
• Attempt to break, probe, or circumvent the App’s security.

You can report posts that break these rules. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate them.

Groups

Group owners manage their group’s membership and may invite, remove, or revoke access to members. Content shared in a group is visible to that group’s members.

Market data and third-party content

Quotes, headlines, and economic data are supplied by third parties and provided “as is”. We do not guarantee their accuracy, timeliness, or completeness, and we are not responsible for third-party content or websites the App links to.

Premium and payments

Premium features are not currently available for purchase. If we offer paid features in the future, additional terms, pricing, and billing and cancellation details will be presented to you before you buy.

Intellectual property

The App, its branding, and its original content are owned by Orin or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App except as permitted by applicable law.

Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any losses arising from your reliance on the content or from any investment decision you make using the App.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Orin harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

You can stop using the App at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service and its users.

Changes to the service and these terms

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. When we change the Terms, we will update the date at the top. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where applicable local law gives you stronger protections.
